- Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection is now standard on every new Ford Everest, from the entry-level Ambiente five-seat RWD through to the flagship seven-seat Everest Titanium 4WD
Melbourne, July 16, 2019 – The Ford Everest has been updated to include Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection as standard from May 2019 production. The Everest line-up now sees a high level of equipment across all models, from the five-seat Ambiente through to the seven-seat Everest Titanium with its advanced Bi-Turbo powertrain, which has seen price adjustment below the Luxury Car Tax threshold.

Ford Everest: Technology as standard
The updated Ford Everest line-up offers three trim levels, a choice of seating configurations as well as off-road and towing-focussed models. The Everest now has a full suite of Driver Assist Technology and features as standard on all models:

Ford Everest Trend: More choice, more features
The Everest Trend is the most popular model of the line-up, and offers key features and more choice for customers. Available in rear-wheel drive (RWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) models, with a choice of five- or seven-seat configurations, the Everest Trend also brings a choice of powertrain options.
This includes the proven, workhorse-like 3.2L five-cylinder turbodiesel that has helped Everest win motoring accolades since its release, including 4x4 Australia’s 4x4 of the Year in 2015. In 2018, Everest Trend was introduced with an advanced powertrain option with the arrival of the Bi-Turbo, 10-speed automatic.
The Bi-Turbo option has proven popular with customers looking for even greater refinement, comfort and enhanced fuel efficiency and has quickly become the highest selling model in the Everest line up. In addition, the Bi-Turbo powertrain also increases Everest’s official braked towing capacity from an already impressive 3000kg to a highly capable 3100kgiii.
Ford Everest Titanium: Efficiency with features
The flagship Everest Titanium includes the advanced Bi-Turbo 10-speed powertrain as standard at a more affordable price. In addition to higher levels of refinement and comfort, the Bi-Turbo powertrain on Titanium delivers 7.0L/100kmiv fuel efficiency with Titanium qualifying for the Fuel Efficient Vehicles Luxury Car Tax threshold.
The updated Ford Everest goes on sale in Australian Ford dealerships from July 2019.
